Display of military vehicles on parade!
The Berks and Oxon Group, affiliated to the Military Vehicle Trust, is a club of about
30 members who live mainly in South Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
The purpose of the club is to maintain, find and help to restore unique and rare
military vehicles for future generations to see. Also as a reminder of the debt we owe
to those who have had to use these vehicles, in war and peace for our protection.
The club meets once a month in an inn near Wallingford, and between them, own a
wide range of ex-military vehicles from WW2 to the Present Day.
Members look after and restore a fairly wide range of ex.Military Vehicles, which
include Jeeps, Command vehicles, Cars, Trucks, Motor cycles, a small Bulldozer
and even amphibious Landing-craft.
During the year they attend many local events, fetes and fayres, charity raising days
including for the British Legion around the time of each Remembrance Day, and on
occasions weddings and film production.
Quite a few members like to dress in uniform, as re-enactors, and bring military kit
and equipment along to add interest and a talking point for the public. They are
always keen to answer questions, particularly from the younger generation.
We hope the Public will enjoy our display of Vehicles on SUNDAY JUNE 3 RD 2018
