Beale Park Team
Show sponsors, MS Amlin, formerly Haven Knox-Johnston, have been taking care of boats and their owners for 30 years and now as MS Amlin we have a change of name. That’s prompted us to think about the names people give their boats – so we’re asking everyone for their own stories about how they named their boat – or to just send in photos of the best or funniest names for your chance to win tickets for the Southampton Boat Show 2017.

Easy to follow plans with a comprehensive builders manual will be on sale together with plans and patterns for others in their range of easy to build boats. Also being exhibited will be the SailnOar Launching trolleys. These are fully galvanised, strong, foldable and adjustable for most boats up to 15 feet, and the pull handle model with forward swivel wheel is suitable for easily managing heavier dinghies single-handedly.

The Thames Vintage Boat Club was founded at Old Windsor in March 1983 to provide a club and forum for all types of traditionally built craft; to seek to encourage their restoration, maintenance, and above all, their use, and also to produce and maintain an historical record of all traditional craft on the river Thames. There will be another wonderful display of boats from club members at Beale Park this year.
Seahopper Ltd, the manufacturer of the World’s No 1. Folding Wooden Boat, will be exhibiting after a long absence from going to boat shows. Come along to see the baby of the fleet, the 2-metre Scamp, the newly named Lighter at 2.5-metre, and the flagship in our range the Kondor measuring just over 3-metres.
If you’re looking for a beautiful varnished, versatile boat that folds up so you can store it under your bed, on your garage wall, and carry it in your roof rack, a Seahopper could be exactly what you need.
Each boat is available in Row, Motor and Sail versions and the three versions we will be exhibiting will be available to buy at a discounted price at the show.
Come and meet the good folk from the Thames Traditional Boat Society at this years boat show. The Society was founded in 1980 to promote the continued use and conservation of traditional, non-powered craft, mainly Skiffs, Dinghies, Punts and Canoes. During the summer months, weekend and longer cruises are organized and rallies, regattas and festivals on waterways in the UK and abroad are attended. During the winter months social events with a boating theme are arranged. See more at: http://www.ttbs.org/
